The French non-profit association of infertile couples „Les Cigognes de l´Espoir“ organized two meetings in two largest French cities. On Sat17.5. more than 130 members and fans of the Association gathered in a café „La bonne biere“ in central Paris and on Sun 18.5. in „La Cordée“ in Lyon to meet official Czech partner IVF centers including our clinic SANUS.
Mr.Philippe Roussel, vicepresident of the Association reported on activities over the last period, Mr.Tomas Marik, Executive Manager of IVF Europe then introduced his country and he described what makes Czech Republic one of the most popular destinations for infertility treatment, specifically oocyte donation, today. Legislative frame was characterized and number of figures showing quantitative and qualitative development of assited reproduction in the Czech Republic. French coordinators of the partner IVF centres then presented the current offers of their fertility services as well as options for stay of infertile couples in their cities and regions. At the end the „Centre de Traitement de l´Infertilité de Pardubice“ (member of the group SANUS) presented its services as new official partner of the Association.
The programme in Paris was enriched by lecture by Mrs.Deborah Schumann, psychologist and specialist on oocyte donation issue.
The official programme was followed by personal consultations of interested couples with our gynecologists Václav Šilhan, MD and Jiří Štěpán, MD.
